Last week we submitted a planning application for this single storey extension to an existing cottage on the outskirts of Dumfries.
The new extension is carefully placed perpendicular to the existing cottage, creating a west facing entrance courtyard which can be accessed directly from the new kitchen/dining area. At the connection point, the new entrance hallway with a flat roof over provides visual separation between the old and new parts.
